RACE FOR OIL: 19 NORTHERN STATE APPOINT BRITISH COMPANY TO EXPLORE FOR OIL IN THE NORTH

The desire for the exploration and exploitation of oil and gas in the North-East of Nigeria has prompted a huge step with the hiring of a British firm to explore for oil in the Lake chad and Benin basins

Mallam Bashir Dalhatu, Chairman of the Northern Nigerian Development company, over the weekend made known that The British Coy has already stated exploration for oil in  Lake Chad and Benin basins.

This information was learnt when Kastina State Governor and Board Chairman of the Northern Nigerian Development Company visited.

“We have engaged a British company that is already working in the Lake Chad region and from Niger and Chad side in the same area with us and we have been meeting with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in order to put efforts together"
