DSS to Arrest 8 More Judges Despite NBA's Threat

The DSS seems to be bent on  flaunting the warning of the NBA to stop the arrest and persecutions of allege corrupt judges, The NBA President Abubakar Mahmoud asked that the President Muhammad Buhari order the release of the 7 judges already in DSS custody  and a stop on their persecution or ‘face consequences’.

However the DSS has concluded plans to arrest eight more judges despite threat and warning from the Nigerian Bar Association. The DSS has equally said that in no time the already arrested 7 judges will be charged to court at any time. The DSS on the bribery allegations of the judges said she has enough evidence to make a case and persecute the judges in court and prove their claim
Speaking on the bribery allegations against the judges, the DSS said it had enough evidence to prosecute the case in the court of law and prove that the judges were actually involved in some corrupt practices.
The seven arrested judges facing corruption charges by the DSS includes Justices Inyang Okoro and Sylvester Ngwuta of the Supreme Court; Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja; Kabir Auta of the Kano High Court; Muazu Pindiga of the Gombe High Court, Mohammed Tsamiya of the Court of Appeal in Ilorin, and the Chief Judge of Enugu State, I. A. Umezulike.
