Members of the NLC Nigerian Labour Congress stands divided over the proposed strike which they plan to embark on 18th May, the union issued a threat to embark on a national strike following the new federal government decision to increase fuel pump price.
After the meeting that ended in deadlock, few members of the Union seems to have a different view of the whole matter and have said they will not participate in the strike.
The Executive Secretary of the Electricity Workers Union, Joe AJaero has said that its union will not participate in the strike action. NUPENG, Petroleum and Natural Gas Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN has also disassociated themselves from the strike
