While I sat
with energetic interest, watching the Second US Presidential debate 2016, I saw
the US election heading to what is typical of African Government. US
presidential candidate Mr. Donald J Trump made a huge statement that if he gets
to be the president his opponent Secretary Clinton will be behind bars for her
so many policies. This is a typical of what Is seen in most third world countries
where the winning president hatches a
plan to throw his opponent right in jail.
"I hate to say it but if I win I'm going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation," he said.
"There has never been so many lies, so much deception. The people in this country are furious.
"You ought to be ashamed of yourself."
In response, Mrs. Clinton said: "It's just awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in this country."
Mr. Trump replied, to cheers in the audience: "Because you'd be in jail."
Earlier before that, Trump’s lewd tape, in which Trump brags about "grabbing p----" and forcibly kissing women, was brought up. He however, apologized for it and regarded it as just "locker room talk" and just words, but accused Bill Clinton as a woman abuser. He also did hold a press conference half an hour before the debate alongside three women who have claimed they were sexually assaulted by Bill Clinton.
As much as there are a lot of things
the opposing candidate fought against and hated tremendously, the debate came
to a reduced tension and love and respect for each candidate as they were asked
to say one thing they respected about each other. For Secretary Clinton it was
Trumps Children and for Mr. Trump it was Clinton's fighting spirit and her not
being a quitter
Mrs. Clinton said: "I
respect his children. His children are incredibly able and I think that says a
lot about Donald."Mr. Trump said: "I will say this about Hillary - she doesn't quit, she doesn't give up. I tell it like it is. She's a fighter."
This positive remark about each other fostered a good end to the debate as the candidate shook hands at the end but awkward did not at the beginning
