Lassa Fever: Ogbongonog Market Asaba, Delta State Fumigated.
Delta State commissioner for Environment, John Nani has taken a commendable effort to see to the fumigation of Delta State markets to prevent the spread and outbreak of Lassa fever.
Lassa fever is an acute disease that is transmitted to humans from pathogens like rodents through urine contact on food.
The commissioner stated that the state government is committed to making sure the state is free from such disease. The fumigation exercise kicked off at the Ogbongonogo market Asaba and will be continuous to other state markets

US BANS SAMSUNG NOTE 7 ON FLIGHTS
Just after the total recall of all Samsung Note 7 device, the Department of Transportation, US government has banned the device on all domestic flights, stating that it poses high risk of injuries to passengers .
Antony Fox, DoT transportation secretary said "even one fire incident inflight poses a high risk of severe personal injury and puts many lives at risk."
The DoT also clarified that Devices, if found on a passenger may be confiscated and owner fined. Airlines have been instructed to start search and denial of devices from 15th October and also to deny passengers entry on a flight if they're found with a Note 7 device.
23 Years Old Lady Arrested for Blackmailing Married Man After Sex
23 years old lady by the name Jessica has been arrested by the NPF for blackmail.
Jessica who narrated her story told the NPF how she slept with a married man' and blackmailed him for 180,000. Out of fear of Jessica not telling his wife he yielded to the blackmail but reported her to the police when greed overcame her and she requested for extra money.
Jessica further said that she lives with her boyfriend in Berger and works with a production company in Maryland, Lagos

President Buhari in a joint press meeting in Germany with Angela Merkel has responded to the criticism of his wife on his leadership in Nigeria.
In his statement , Buhari laughed off the criticism and said."I don't know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room"
Mrs. Buhari has on a BBC interview critizied her husband and made suggestions of her not going to support him come 2019 if things are not well adjusted.
She also claimed that her husband doesn't even know some of the people he appointed.
In her words she said: “The President does not know 45 out of 50, for example, of the people he appointed and I don’t know them either, despite being his wife of 27 years.
“Some people are sitting down in their homes folding their arms, only for them to be called to come and head an agency or a ministerial position.”

President Buhari’s visit to Germany is to enhance bilateral trade between the two countries. His special advisor on media and publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina said such issues as security cooperation with Germany, humanitarian situation of internally displaced persons (IDP’s), rehabilitation of the North-East will come up.

TOYOTA RECALLS TOYOTA PRIUS SEDAN FOR PARKING BRAKE DEFECT
Seems we are at the week of product recall. Toyota has launched a global recall of its redesigned Toyota Prius sedan after reports of a likely deadly defect of its parking brake.
Toyota automobile is to recall 340,000 units of the Prius globally, including 212,000 in Japan and 92,000 of the 2016 and 2017 models in the U.S.
Toyota spokesman Victor Vanov "On the involved vehicles, there is a possibility that the parking brake could become inoperative," Toyota said Wednesday in a statement. "If this occurs and the driver exits the vehicle with the transmission in a gear other than ‘Park’ whiles the ignition is on, the vehicle could roll away, increasing the risk of a crash."
Toyota has "received reports of crashes, injuries and deaths" and is "still looking into the reports," the Associated Press reported.
The automobile company instructed that dealers "will add clips on the top of the brake cable dust boots to prevent the cable from becoming inoperative."
Also they have made plans for Owners notified in November, and repairs will be free.
17.8% FAILS NIGERIAN BAR EXAM
Nearly 20% of the student who sat for the Bar exam (August/September 2016 final examinations of the Nigerian Law School) has failed, so to say, wont be called to the bar this November.
The august exam batch has a similar report recording 23.6% failure rate, as 709 candidates out of 3, 056 of them who sat for that batch of the final examination from the NLS, did not make the pass mark. Below is the august/ September exam result analysis
